We are so excited (and some say a little mad) to present to you for the second year running, The Frozen Experience at Phase Photography.

The studio will be transformed into a make-believe ‘frozen’ forest where the little ones will be photographed in their element.

We can provide Elsa, Anna and Kristoff outfits but please feel free to bring your won if you prefer (Elsa and Anna from newborn to 11 years, Kristoff from newborn to 7 years).

Also, the best photograph taken over the four days will win £250 worth of studio vouchers!

What will it cost me…?

There is a £15 booking fee required to make the booking. Your shoot and photo viewing will take place on the same day.

While there is no obligation to purchase photographs after your session, we will give you a £15 voucher to put towards the cost if you do!

Our 10×8 inch hand finished and mounted portraits start from £45 (with added frozen effects and magic). Along with some stunning packages that offer great value for money, we will also give you a £15 voucher to use on the day*

As a member of the Best of Brighton and Hove, I was invited to visit a fantastic networking event hosted at EcoStream Refill centre in Brighton on Thursday.

The evening started at 6.00pm and was bursting with local business owners and entrepreneurs!

The theme for the evening is ‘Buy Local’…

The Brighton founder of Ecostream, Steve Bannatyne talked to a room full about ‘refill’ and some of the statistics on why refilling is set to move from grass roots into the mainstream.

Between bouts of Networking, there was tasting sessions of locally supplied products, a coffee making session, and a tour of the Ecostream store. Finger food and refreshments, I must say the wine went down VERY well!

It was a great opportunity to meet other businesses, exchange cards and ideas, and what I hope will start to build some more relationships locally.

The first thing that your clients need to know when seeking someone to take photographs of their special event is what a Pro Photographer is not.

A Pro Photographer is not

• A person with a new expensive camera
• A friend who knows a bit about photoshop
• Someone who gives away his images
• A person who sells their images for not a lot      of money

OK so we can all agree what a pro photograher is not, but it is equally important that we explain to potential clients why they should employ a Pro Photographer and what they can expect to receive in return for paying your professional fees.

So here are a few bullet points for you to build into your story to potential clients.

A Pro Photographers is:-

• An individual with an Artists eye
• A person who understands image composition
• Skilled in the importance of correct lighting
• Knowledgeable about colour correction
• Knows where to get prints and/or printing to ensure best quality images

What is most important is that your clients dramatically improve their chances of receiving images that not only hold their value and integrity for generations to come but that capture those so precious moments that may never be captured by the person with just an expensive camera.

Last but not least great images are worthless if no one views them with the best products to display your images.

However, had the rain fallen over Plumpton on Sunday for the best event on the Race courses diary, there would have been more high heels stuck in the mud than you can shake a stick at.

Yes that’s right it was Ladies Day at Plumption Races and the sun shone for us all.

Phase Photographic were proud to be judging the Best Dressed lady and awarding 3^rd prize!

One lucky lady won a Hair, makeover and photo shoot for herself and a friend here at the studio, with styling provided my Amanda J – one of Brighton’s best loved makeup artists.

After losing too much money on the horses, my fiancé and I decided it best to invest our money into Champaign, which spurred us into pony betting instead! Well we won £15 at least!

Oklahoma! was the first musical written by the dynamic Rodgers and Hammerstein team and was a smash hit on Broadway in1943. It transferred to the London stage and enjoyed a successful run in 1947. The show was like a breath of spring to Londoners, still suffering from the aftermath of the deprivation and trauma of 5 years of war.

The shoot was photographed surprisingly just down the road in an American themed house in Shoreham. The WLOC team were dressed and ready for action in their cowboy boots, hats and bottles of booze!
