At Hotel Pelirocco in Brighton, the original Rock and Roll boutique hotel is turning its hand to a more Caribbean flow as their latest project transforms the infamous ‘Play Room’ into the Kracken’s Lair!

Phase Photography have been given the opportunity to get a sneak peak into the room’s developments before it is set to launch on Thursday 3rd April 2014 to the public.

Established in Hove Jonathan Phillip is an award winning unique boutique hair salon offering all aspects of hairdressing and selected beauty treatments by a professional and creative team.

We had the pleasure to work with Jon and the team for their forthcoming marketing campaign for the salon. After the recent re-fit and refurbishment of the salon, it set the perfect background for the staff head shots.

When you arrive at Johnathan Phillip you will be offered a complimentary drink from the bar and there is lots of selection from a gin to a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows.

But this is just one of the many little extra treats you’ll receive at the salon to make you feel at ease. Other services include of course, hairdressing from either the owner, director or one of the many talented stylists. You can have a manicure from the nail technician, sun bed and tan, keratin treatments, wax and event botox. There is also a blow-dry club!

]]> Each year members of the Master Photographer’s Association longley await entering into the regional competitions for prestigious award of Master Photographer of the Year, South East.

Me at no exception and below are some of the entries that were judged on the night.

This year I was fortunate enough achieve an award for my press and PR image which is the a la cart spoon of glorious food.

Interestingly it was food photography that started my career as a photographer, so after years of photographing weddings and studio portraits it was great to see that I hadn’t lost my nack.

]]> Raring to try out all our new learnt techniques from a photography conference in Tunisia last week, I was delighted to be asked by the award winning Worthing Light Orchestra Company to photograph their promotional photographs for their future show OKLAHOMA!

Oklahoma! was the first musical written by the dynamic Rodgers and Hammerstein team and was a smash hit on Broadway in1943. It transferred to the London stage and enjoyed a successful run in 1947. The show was like a breath of spring to Londoners, still suffering from the aftermath of the deprivation and trauma of 5 years of war.

The shoot was photographed surprisingly just down the road in an American themed house in Shoreham. The WLOC team were dressed and ready for action in their cowboy boots, hats and bottles of booze!

For the 3rd year now we have been privileged to work alongside the Brighton and Hove Business Show. In previous shows we have photographed they Mayor of Brighton and the City’s MPs. This year we focused on all that Brighton has to offer, from its booming businesses to its role in the Olympics.

On our own exhibition, we decided to go a little less corporate and push on the Christmas side of the studio, offering great offers for studio experiences. We had a fantastic response to our competition where we offered a top prize of a studio experience and photo disk of images worth £550 PLUS 10 runner up prizes of a studio session and a framed 7”x5” photo.

Using gel colours over the flash lights we managed to match a colours that suited the Sapere brand.

I also took full advantage of Graham expertise too as I sat on the couch and picked Grahams mind!
